SEK joined to SRAT 2014 which is Sumitomo Rubber Industries, Ltd. (住友 ゴ ム 工業 株式会社, Sumitomo Gomu Kōgyo Kabushiki-gaisha) is a global tire and rubber company based in Japan. It is part of the Sumitomo Group. The company makes a wide range of rubber based products, including automobile tires, golf balls and tennis balls. Sumitomo brands include Dunlop Tires (in certain regions of Asia, Africa, and Latin America), Falken Tire and Ohtsu Tire.
The company traces its origins to 1909, when the Sumitomo Group was made an investment in Dunlop Japan, the newly formed subsidiary of the British company Dunlop Rubber. Over the years Sumitomo and Dunlop developed a close business relationship, and in 1963 the Sumitomo Group acquired control of Dunlop Japan and renamed it Sumitomo Rubber Industries Ltd.
In 1985, when Dunlop Rubber was taken over by BTR plc, the company acquired the automobile tire assets of Dunlop, including the right to use the Dunlop brand on automobile tires. The acquisition did not include US and Australian businesses, which were separately owned, but in 1986 Sumitomo also acquired the Dunlop Tire Corporation of the US from its management.
In 1997, Sumitomo formed a joint venture with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company, by which Goodyear and Sumitomo agreed to manufacture tires for each other's markets, including Dunlop branded tires. As part of the agreement, Goodyear acquired 75% interests in Dunlop Tires, the UK company which Sumitomo had formed, and in Dunlop Tire Corporation. Goodyear and Sumitomo also made investments in each other.
On February 14, 2014, Goodyear announced its intention to dissolve its partnership with Sumitomo due to the alleged "anticompetitive conduct". On June 4, 2015, Goodyear announced the end of its joint venture with SRI, effective end of year 2015. The Dunlop brand will be shared between the 2 companies

Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company is also a customer of SEK which is a tire manufacturer founded in 1898 by Frank Seiberling and headquartered in Akron, Ohio. Goodyear manufactures tires for cars, trucks, race cars, agricultural equipment, and heavy equipment.

The company was given the name "Goodyear" in honor of Charles Goodyear, the inventor of the rubber vulcanization process. Goodyear's first tire became very popular because it was very easy to install and didn't need much maintenance.

Goodyear is also famous for its Goodyear Blimp, which first flew in 1925. Today, Blimp is one of the most recognizable advertising icons in the United States. Goodyear is the most successful tire supplier in the history of Formula One, with the most wins compared to other tire suppliers. Goodyear stopped supplying tires for Formula One after the 1998 season ended, and to date is the sole tire supplier for NASCAR.

At that time, they began producing their own version of the pneumatic bank that was first used by Charles Terront at the long-distance Paris-Brest-Paris bicycle race event in the year 1891.

Michelin continues to create various innovations for tire development in general. One of them with the release of radial tires which later became known as "X" tires since 1946 and run-flat tires. Since 1988, Michelin has then acquired a tire division under the auspices of American B.F. Goodrich Company which had been founded in 1870 included Norwood, an operational factory supplying tires to the U.S. Space Shuttle Program. Two years later, Michelin then re-acquired Uniroyal, Inc. which is one of the American rubber companies which was founded in 1892. Furthermore, Uniroyal Australia is included in Uniroyal, Inc. was taken over by Bridgestone in 1980. In addition, Michelin also holds a 90% stake in Taurus Tire which operates in Hungary and Kormoran which is a Polish brand.

On September 1, 2008, Michelin had succeeded in becoming the largest tire producer in the world after years of only being able to place second behind Bridgestone. Michelin has produced tires to France, Spain, Germany, the United States, Britain, Canada, Brazil, Thailand, Japan, Italy and several other countries in the world including Indonesia. Until now, Michelin has produced various variants of tire products that are specially designed with high quality supported by experts in their fields for cars, SUVs, light trucks, motorcycles, buses and bulldozers.
